This positon reports to the Director of Finance

General Responsibilities Include

  • Train and supervise accounting staff.
  • Operationally responsible for accounts payable, accounts receivable/credit management, payroll, cashiering functions.
  • Prepare monthly journal entries, accruals, allocations, prepaid entries as assigned.
  • Assist with a/p entry/batches.
  • Prepare/post month end accruals.
  • Responsible for General ledger/month-end close and P&L statement.
  • Coordinate and oversee internal & external audits in conjunction with Director of Finance.
  • Responsible for balancing and reconciliation of general ledger & balance sheet accounts.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3-5 years' experience in similar supervisory role in full service hotel
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field desired but not required
  • In-depth knowledge of GAAP and the Uniform Standards of Accounts for the Lodging Industry
  • Budgeting, forecasting, cash flow and internal/external audit experience helpful
  • Proficiency with MS Excel, Word, SharePoint and PowerPoint
  • Experience with ProfitSword, M3, LightSpeed, Micros, Marriott systems, Birchstreet and UKG UltiPro highly desired
  • Experience in a large, convention style hotel a plus
