Aspire Bakeries is accepting applications for Summer Labor. We have a variety of positions available for the summer including Operations, Sanitation, Maintenance and Quality Assurance. You will work between 32-40 hours per week, with optional overtime. Shift differential is available for 2nd and 3rd shift. This position is available from May 13/2024- August 16/2024.

Responsibilities:

Operations

  • Inspect product to ensure it meets established standards and specifications and watch for upside-down products.

  • Feed on trays and/or stack off trays.

  • Maintain the proper flow of product into the pattern formers and re-pack any missing or damaged product in packages.

  • Tailor trays and stack off trays from the tray line when necessary.

  • Monitor and assist the tray feeder to ensure the proper flow of trays.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Sanitation

  • Maintains cleanliness, sanitation, and upkeep of production equipment and production areas in accordance with Company and regulatory agency quality and food safety standards.

  • Efficiently disassembles and assembles production equipment for proper cleaning.

  • Adheres to all GMP guidelines in the performance of the job.

  • Keeps accurate cleaning records of equipment, and areas in accordance with SSOP's.

  • Follows rules and regulations to ensure food safety, quality, and legality.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Maintenance

  • Performs preventive, scheduled and corrective repairs on equipment reports findings to supervisor, and takes appropriate action.

  • Operates general machinery and tools including saws, drills, power tools, scissor lifts, forklifts, etc.

  • Interacts with and maintains records in accordance with Maintenance Management System requirements and job assignments and communicates via email, all with the use of computer systems.

  • Completes duties in accordance with quality assurance, GMPs, safety, and other company programs and procedures, and in compliance with government code and regulations.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Quality Assurance

  • Ensure that our foods meet Company standards and specifications.

  • Understanding and identification of non-conforming raw materials, semi-finished and finished foods.

  • Participate in Pre-operational inspections with a cross-functional team. Physical bakery inspections, such as GMP and Hygiene, Food Safety, Foreign material, Glass and Hard Plastics, etc.

  • Complete sensory, physical, and packaging evaluations on finished food and report the results to bakery management.

  • Verify finished food case labels are accurate.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • A high school degree or equivalent required; currently enrolled in a trade school, accredited college or university is preferred.

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.

  • Ability to lift 50 pounds.

Hourly Rate: $19.00
