Slido is quickly growing. The need to have a reliable, scalable continuous integration infrastructure is needed for Slido to continue to deliver high-quality applications to hundreds of thousands of users around the world. Slido counts on our IT Operations team to provide excellent availability, scalability and security for our infrastructure.

The strongest candidates will have both Linux / Server Management expertise and experience architecting in Cloud. You'll have the opportunity to learn, grow and help others along their journey as well.

What will your job be like?

Enhancing Application Performance: You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the availability, scalability, and optimal performance of our customer-facing applications.

Network and Application Optimization: You'll proactively diagnose and repair network and application bottlenecks.

Infrastructure Tuning: You will be responsible for testing and fine-tuning network and cloud infrastructure configurations to enhance availability and performance.

Monitoring and Diagnostic Leading: You will deploy and lead monitoring, diagnostic and logging tools

Collaborative Development: You will work closely with one or more product/software development teams to empower them to deliver new features and components, and to help them embed the Ops perspective early into the development process.

Systems Documentation and Automation: Your work will include crafting and documenting systems, as well as writing and reviewing code, automating problems within your team's domain, and help improve the team's CI/CD processes.

Production Support: You will participate in Tier-1 production support for internal systems in case of an outage or an incident.

Are we a match?

Cloud Architecture Proficiency: You should be comfortable with cloud architecture, preferably within AWS.

Strong Fundamentals: Possess a strong knowledge of UNIX fundamentals and a comprehensive understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP and HTTP/S.

Scripting Skills: Proficiency in scripting languages, such as bash or Python, is essential.

Robust DevOps Tooling: Your DevOps tooling experience is strong, including CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code (preferably Terraform).

Monitoring Expertise: You have demonstrated experience with monitoring systems.

Containerization Passion: You're passionate about Kubernetes, Docker or other containerization technologies.

Adaptability: You're up for the challenge to gracefully react to high-priority requirements with little or no notice, providing clear documentation and follow-through.

Reliability and Trustworthiness: You're known for excellent reliability, dependability, and trustworthiness.

DevOps and SRE Principles: You should have a firm understanding of DevOps and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles.
