Position Summary:
The position of the Environmental Health and Safety Intern performs a variety of functions to assist in maintaining and preserving the health and safety of employees as well as the environment. This individual will be responsible for assisting in developing and maintaining existing systems related to plant safety, environmental control processes, regulatory compliance, and training.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:
*Assists in compliance with Hazardous/Universal Waste regulations. May have to move drums.
*Assist in developing safety training, including hazard communications, lead awareness, hearing conservation, hazardous waste, and fire extinguisher.
*Perform safety audits and inspections.
*Performs various office functions such as updating records and spreadsheets and other duties as required.

Education and/or Experience:
*Attending College for a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health and Safety and/or equivalent experience.
*Fluent in Microsoft Excel.

Working Conditions:
*Able to lift up to 25 pounds.
*Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) which is required in designated areas.
