Job Description

Egan Company is seeking candidates for an Account Manager (Fire & Security Service Sales) position, working from our Champlin, MN location. In this role you'll be responsible for new customer acquisition, ongoing account management, and building relationships with decision-makers at all levels within assigned accounts.

Responsibilities
  • Prospect for new customers with a main focus on Fire/Security Systems to include sales of preventative maintenance agreements.

  • Develop and maintain relationships with end-users, key contractors, and engineers.

  • Sell Fire/Security service opportunities to owner direct customers.

  • Achieve quoted work and preventative maintenance sales goals.

  • Use CRM software to manage opportunities, customer communications, and track sales activities.

  • Schedule field labor with Service Coordinators and manage sold work to customers' expectations.

  • Maintain exceptional communication and time management skills in a fast-paced customer service environment.

  • Estimate solutions per site surveys, plans/specification requirements, and owner direction.

  • Write scope proposals based on estimates and suggested repairs from preventative maintenance.

  • Work with support staff to create formal preventative maintenance proposals and agreements.

  • Promote all service offerings to include: mechanical, plumbing, electrical, building automation, fire, security systems, and monitoring.

  • Advises other groups of additional sales potential and assists with promoting service planned maintenance agreements prior to job closeout.

  • Approve accounts payable and receivable in a timely manner.

  • Attend sales and other required meetings.

  • Attend monthly safety lunches and perform weekly safety audits to promote a Stay Safe culture.

  • Visit jobsites and customer sites regularly.

  • All other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED required, bachelor's degree preferred.

  • 2+ years of sales or sales-related experience, preferably within Fire and Security Trades.

Qualifications
  • Working knowledge of estimating processes and procedures.

  • Ability to present to both internal and external groups.

  • Ability to learn and promote other areas of the business.

  • Proficient in the use of standard office computer programs such as Microsoft Office and Google Suite.

  • Strong organizational skills to deal with competing customer needs.

  • Strong demonstrated negotiation skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop strong relationships.

  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.

  • Strong desire to grow professionally and to learn and retain technical information.

  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.

Working Conditions
  • Performance of duties will be in the office, home, customer sites, and job sites as needed.

  • Ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time.

  • Exposure to loud noise, dirt, and exposure to the elements are to be expected on job sites.

  • Climbing ladders/stairs, uneven ground, bending, kneeling, and twisting are to be expected on job sites.
