Overview:

Come join HGA's growing Healthcare Practice Group in Boston, where we are seeking a design professional who practices through a lens of curiosity and empathy, balanced with excellent people skills. In this role you will:
    Lead the technical design, project coordination and quality control efforts during all phases of project work in close collaboration with the design team.
  1. Produce and advance schematic, design development, and construction documents in compliance with project scope schedule, cost, and design intent.
  2. Lead collaboration efforts with consultants and coordinate work to ensure the project deliverables are aligned, integrated, and support the design concept and performance goals of the project.
  3. Ensure integration of codes, regulations and other requirements relevant to healthcare projects including accessibility, zoning, life safety, etc.
  4. Lead healthcare planning efforts aligned with Facility Guidelines Institute (FGI) and Massachusetts Department of Public Health (DPH) requirements.
  5. Support the preparation of DPH Plan Review submissions.
  6. Perform construction administration responsibilities, including attending OAC meetings, reviewing submittals / shop drawings, responding to RFI's and reviewing change orders.
  7. Actively collaborate with design teams to establish and integrate design goals into projects.
  8. Seek creative and innovative solutions and develop appropriate research and documents to support these solutions.
  9. Work closely with the Project manager to establish internal workplans, tasks and schedules.
  10. Implement meeting objectives, facilitate meetings, provide meeting notes and report-out documentation.
  11. Participate in marketing efforts, such as client and owner presentations.
  12. Set an example for team effort through the spirit of collaboration while directing, organizing, and mentoring junior staff.
You will need to have:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture
  • Architecture license required
  • 5-10 years of professional healthcare experience; includes working on small- to large-scale projects
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, communicate clearly with team members and clients and have demonstrated the ability to oversee and be responsible for project delivery
  • Strong Revit skills
  • Experience with AutoCAD, SketchUp, Enscape, etc.
  • LEED accreditation (preferred)
Salary Information:

The pay range listed aligns to the geography of the office for which this position is posted. Actual compensation will be based upon work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Individuals in this role working more than 24 hours a week on a regular basis are eligible to participate in HGA's robust benefit programs which include an annual bonus and success sharing bonus program, 401(k) guaranteed contribution, paid parental leave, medical, dental and life insurance plans as well as PTO and short- and long-term disability programs. Salary Range $90,400-$131,400
