Job Description
The senior product manager will be responsible for delivering advanced capabilities across the financial functions, including defining product scope and market positioning to support various Department of Transportation initiatives. The role and the process cover collecting and prioritizing requirements and following the development process through to launching the finalized product. The product manager role involves frequent interaction with sales, pre-sales, development and customers. The role requires working with analysts, customers and other product management peers, potentially across the globe, to collect market input to continually evolve our solutions and assist in launching new products. Infor delivers market-leading Cloud-based solutions for the services industries with a significant focus on the Public Sector. The Senior Product Manager will focus on delivering mission-critical capabilities to our Public Sector cloud solution, specifically for State Department of Transportation agencies.


A Day in The Life Typically Includes:

  • Capture and document requirements for your industry and products
  • Develop prioritized roadmaps and business cases
  • Translate customer requirements to application requirements as input to development organization
  • Position and launch new products to Infor colleagues, partners and customers
  • Participate in knowledge transfer programs as an industry and product expert


Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience working as a business consultant/analyst and/or process owner collecting business requirements and translating them into application requirements and conceptual solution designs
  • Experience in transportation funding & grant writing
  • Collaboration with customers at various levels from C-level executives down to staff accounting members
  • Presentation skills - delivering complex messages in a structured and organized manner
  • Experience in data-driven decision-making to guide strategic product investments
  • Experience in delivering software presentations
  • Experience in managing and balancing tough demands from a wide range of customers and partners


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience identifying funding opportunities, developing proposals, and overseeing the allocation and utilization of funds to support various Department of Transportation initiatives
  • Familiarity with transportation planning principles, policies, strategies, and regulations
  • Understanding of Project Funding, Billing, and reporting as relates to federally funded programs
  • Experience working as a Department of Transportation Funding Manager
  • Demonstrated knowledge of transportation funding sources, including federal, state, and local government programs, as well as private financing mechanisms
