What is the BSP group responsible for?

Benefit Street Partners ("BSP") is a leading credit-focused alternative asset management firm with approximately $76 billion in assets under management. Benefit Street Partners, LLC seeks a CLO Analyst in New York, NY.

What are the ongoing responsibilities of a CLO Analyst?

Support CLO investing and issuance platform, which includes assisting with relative value analysis, portfolio construction, manager due diligence, individual bond analysis, investment sourcing, portfolio monitoring, and trade execution.

What ideal qualifications, skills & experience would help someone to be successful?

Requires a Master's degree in Finance, or related field or equivalent, and one (1) year of experience performing manager due diligence.

Prior experience must include the below skills/tools:

One (1) year of experience:

  • Reviewing 3rd party CLO cashflow models to identify potential investment opportunities; Conducting research across the entire CLO Universe to benchmark company performance across CLO managers;

  • Analyzing historical performance of CLOs to identify investment opportunities for 3rd Party CLO Portfolios; Creating VBA templates to automate deals cashflow in order to project future revenue stream and AUM;

  • Leveraging CLO Analytics platform to filter for various bids wanted in competition (BWICs) to identify and analyze various CLOs that are trading on the secondary market; and

  • Working closely with internal teams to enhance reporting suite capabilities such as IRR calculator.

There are several factors taken into consideration in making compensation decisions including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. At Franklin Templeton, we apply a total reward philosophy where all aspects of compensation and benefits are taken into consideration in determining compensation. We expect the salary for this position to range between $175,000 - $201,000 USD / year.
