Position Overview:The Senior Manager, HRIS will be responsible for providing strategic and operational leadership to a team responsible for the administration, design, configuration and maintenance of Workday and associated reporting. This includes developing and leading the execution of overall system road map strategic enhancements that support improvements and efficiencies to employee and leader experience and automation.

This position reports directly to the Director, Total Rewards and has responsibility for the growth, development, and management of the HR Workday team. This role will provide effective leadership through coaching, feedback, work direction, prioritization and performance management, while removing roadblocks in order to support individual and team career development.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop the overall Workday strategy and roadmap to align HR and business goals. Evaluate and elevate quality, efficiency, performance and scalability of Workday systems, processes and teams globally.

  • Oversee system updates; prioritize initiatives, ensure requirements and scope are clearly defined, and project plans are outlined. Ensure system changes and initiatives consider interdependencies with existing HR Technology. Collaborate to understand and translate strategy into technical roadmap to achieve strategic objectives and manage activities across multiple work-streams.

  • Support continuous enhancement of team skills to ensure resources are in place to deliver on department and broader HR team commitments.

  • Proactively collaborate with HR leaders and team members to establish and enforce key processes, standards, and best practices to ensure that core HR applications are maintained in an efficient and stable manner and that all systems remain current/up to date in order to support the strategic direction of COE and other key partners.

  • Oversee ongoing research and stay up to date on industry trends, new functionality, and specific HR system fixes, releases, and market trends.

  • Represent HR for all Workday enhancements and implementation with potential impact on employee or candidate experience across the company.

  • Optimize our Workday environment to be world class, scalable and efficient.

  • Proactively advise on compliance changes impacting candidate or employee process with HR systems around the globe in partnership with legal and HR.

  • Prepare business cases and needs analysis for the portfolio of applications in partnership with internal partners, providing technological advice and guidance in line with our overall strategy.

  • Responsible for accurate team member data security and integrity. Conducts regular audits to ensure data quality.

  • Develop reports, dashboards and analytics in support of the HR team.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in business, human resources, or a related field.

  • 8-10 years of HR or IT experience, including,

    • 3-5+ years of hands-on Workday experience including implementation and

    • 3-5+ years of experience leading a team including developing people through performance planning, feedback, coaching and regular one-on-one meetings.

  • In-depth knowledge of HR systems and strong understanding of core HR processes (i.e., payroll, tax, and time & labor system processing).

  • Effective at building sustainable processes and procedures.

  • Proven ability to deliver a strong, consultative approach with both internal and external technology or vendor partners.

  • Strong business acumen with experience using technology to drive and support the business.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of leadership, along with managing a productive working relationship.

  • Excellent critical thinking, ability to draw conclusions easily and situational decision making.

  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR or SPHR Certification preferred.

  • MBA or advanced degree strongly preferred.

  • Workday Pro Certification strongly preferred.

Physical Requirements:
  • Generally, spend the workday sitting at a workstation and operating computer devices, such as, but not limited to keyboard, mouse and screen.

  • Generally, spend the workday performing repetitive motions that involve or affect the hands, head, and other parts of your body.
