BASIC RESPONSIBILITIES

DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

1. Confirm product and count according to instructions on Job Ticket.  Make certain sub-packaging is done according to customer requirements
2. Package products as required.  Place labels in correct locations.
3. Produce packing lists.  Make certain that all affected persons are informed when actual quantity differs from Job Ticket Quantity
4. Call proper carriers to pick up cargo ready for shipment
5. Receive and document all incoming products
6. Maintain organized warehouse
7. Maintain and prepare inventory count and accuracy records
8. Manage finished goods inventories
9. Prepare and meet daily schedules
10. Provide daily work direction for several employees
11. Provide backup supervisory duties
12. Provide training of employees as required
13. Enter recommendations to management for improvements in areas such as personal safety, improved product quality, better rates and yields, or any other matters that-impact shop costs or employees’ health
14. Practice safe working habits as detailed in the Company Safety Manual and Employee Handbook
15. Secure help if item to be lifted or carried exceeds weights given in the Physical Requirements section of the Job Description
16. Maintain housekeeping in work area
17. Do other tasks as directed by the group leader

SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED

1. Know and understand ICC,UPS, FAA, local regulations, etc., that govern transportation of Vomela products
2. Know and understand international regulations that govern shipment of Vomela’s products
3. Know how to use all the pertinent packaging tools and supplies including label printing
4. Be able to use the computer as they relate to shipping and receiving Vomela’s goods
5. Know “ship and backorder” procedures
6. Effective communication skills
7. Proven ability to schedule and provide work direction
8. It is desirable to be a licensed forklift driver
9. Employee must pass the job related physical requirement testing
