Mains'l Services, Inc. offers supports to those who need it, to live a life they choose. Established in 1989, we began supporting children and adults with developmental and physical disabilities. Over the years, we have been privileged to support the elderly, people who have acquired brain injuries, and those who have a primary mental health diagnosis.
Mains'l Services, Inc. believes that people should make their own life decisions and control their own resources. We offer the opportunity to choose Consumer Directed Options (CDO) or Traditional Services, in or out of the family home.
The most important factor in developing supports is promoting self-determination and enhancing family and other relationships. We know that people flourish when their lives are filled with meaningful relationships and activities of their own choosing.
We are familiar with available programs and funding sources. We can help you find out if you or your family member is eligible for services, and how to apply for them. We are experts in understanding "the system." We want to make it easier for family members, loved ones, social workers/case managers, support coordinators, flexible case managers, financial workers, and other professionals to get you what you're looking for. Our goal is to listen to what you want, assist in identifying options, and then support you in your choices. As your partner, we make sure you know what is available, so you can make educated decisions.
Mains'l Services, Inc. currently supports more than 500 people in Minnesota, and employs over 1000 direct care professionals, registered nurses, program service coordinators, directors, managers, and other support staff. Our leadership team has decades of experience working with people of various abilities. We have employees certified in brain injury care, experts in dealing with children and adults with challenging behaviors, and others who have a passion for working with the elderly. We partner with you to find the best employees to support you and your life choices.
Mains'l Services, Inc. is named after the mains'l (contraction for mainsail), the nautical term for the principle sail on a boat. Just as the mains'l is the driving force moving the boat, the supports offered by Mains'l Services, Inc. assists people to move their life in the direction they choose.
Employment Opportunities:
At Mains'l Services, Inc. we believe that our employees are the most important factor in delivering high quality supports. We hire "crew members" who are energetic, compassionate, and dedicated people. We have full and part time positions available.
In licensed traditional supports, employees complete a thorough training plan. Training includes orientation of the agency's philosophy, Vulnerable Individuals policy and procedure, Creating Positive Environments, emergency procedures, and on-the-job training. There are no formal training requirements for employees working in consumer directed or personal supports, unless the managing party/family requires it.
Benefits for full-time employees include 401(k) and dental/life insurance. All employees are eligible for education assistance, mileage reimbursement and career advancement.
Criminal Background Checks (BCAs) are completed on all employees. Only those people who have approved BCAs will be hired/retained by Mains'l Services, Inc.
