Basic Qualifications

Education Requirements:

Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field. Also requires 2+ years of job-related experience or a Master's degree.

Clearance Requirements:

Ability to obtain a Department of Defense Secret security clearance is requires at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities for this Position

ROLE AND POSITION OBJECTIVES:

As an Electrical Hardware Design Engineer, you will be a key part of a cross functional team responsible for the design of complex and mission critical electrical hardware systems. You will have the opportunity to be involved during all program phases, including requirements analysis, schematic capture, defining routing constraints, directing PCB/PWB layout and routing activities, and finally support the manufacturing, integration & test, and qualification of the hardware system. You will work with both internal and external stakeholders and customers to develop systems that meet their high expectations.

We encourage you to apply if you have any of these preferred skills or experiences: designing electrical hardware using the Siemens/Mentor Graphics Xpedition tool suite, an understanding of the electrical hardware development process, and working knowledge of lab equipment including oscilloscopes and multimeters.  

What sets you apart:  

  • General understanding of the hardware development process throughout the lifecycle of a program
  • Experience with circuit card designs, including testing and troubleshooting  
  • Working knowledge of the Siemens/Mentor Graphics Xpedition tools suite for schematic entry
  • Ability to persevere through design challenges with direction from senior level engineers
  • Exceptional communication skills with the capacity to drive innovation by advocating for new concepts and ideas

Target salary range: USD $95,274.00/Yr. - USD $105,000.00/Yr. This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.). Actual pay may vary. This job posting will remain open until the position is filled.
