Job Description

Organizational Overview

The Institute of International Finance (IIF) is one of the world's largest global associations of financial institutions with member firms in more than 75 countries. We serve as a forum for exchanging views and developing proposals on global financial issues; we advocate for regulatory, financial, and economic policies that are in the broad interests of our members and foster global financial stability and sustainable economic growth; and we provide our members with an independent source of economic and financial research.

Internship Summary

The IIF's Global Events team is seeking an outstanding and highly motivated individual to support its event efforts. This team is responsible for hosting many online events per month and in-person/hybrid events ranging from 50 to 2000 guests. The internship would involve interaction with event registration, logistics, programs, production and marketing. This is a part-time unpaid internship; however, it offers an excellent opportunity to enhance your knowledge, experience, sharpen your communication skills and may qualify for academic credit. This is a great opportunity for someone who is interested in developing their career and open to taking on new challenges. Scheduling is flexible and can be either an online internship or an in-person/hybrid internship with in-office time starting late August/early September 2022.

IIF is pleased to provide its staff with a hybrid work environment: staff members are required to work in the office Tuesdays through Thursdays but have the option of working remotely on Mondays and Fridays.

Minimum Qualifications

A successful candidate should have a passion and understanding for the event industry, and knowledge of various content management systems and email marketing platforms is helpful. Enrollment in an event management program or experience in event management, event production or a related field is desirable. Must be fluent in English. Strong communication skills are required. Proficient with Microsoft Office 360 Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint) is required.

To receive full consideration for this internship, please submit a cover letter and resume when applying. For more information about the IIF, please refer to our website at https://www.iif.com.

Covid Vaccine Requirement: IIF requires all those hired to provide proof of full vaccination against Covid. Accommodations will be provided only as required by applicable law.
