The Accounting Intern will be responsible for assisting in the Accounting Department in key areas of Payroll and Fixed Asset processes. The ideal candidate should have knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, practices, processes, and procedures and will be involved in making suggestions for improving and enhancing the Payroll and Fixed Asset processes.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist with processing payrolls and following up on timecard approvals
• Assist with the implementation of a new payroll system, including testing
• Help in preparation of payroll reconciliations and accrual entries
• Responsible for updating data within SAP for asset characteristics
• Assisting in executing physical asset counts and following up with location managers for count results
• Responsible for gathering audit request backup material
• Involved in continually improving the Payroll and Fixed Asset process through making recommendations
• Provide a high level of ethics and integrity and follow all company procedures

  REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Individual should be a strong self-starter, detail oriented and collaborate well on a team
• Understanding of technology from an industry perspective and expert use of Microsoft Excel, Word and Powerpoint
• Experience in use of SAP, SuccessFactors and/or ADP a plus
