Responsibilities
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES
The Aerospace Corporation is seeking an Undergraduate Electrical Engineering student for an internship opportunity. This position will be located in Chantilly, VA.
The selected candidate will provide analysis and modeling/simulation support to the Communications and Signal Analysis Department, which is part of the Communications and Cyber Division within the Engineering and Technology Group. The type of work to be performed is for communications and / or signal processing applications.
KEY FUNCTIONS
* Applies standard techniques and procedures to carry out a series of prescribed scientific and/or engineering tasks.
* Performs computer modeling and simulation demonstrating mathematical dependencies and relationships
* Applies standard techniques and procedures to carry out a series of prescribed scientific and/or engineering tasks.
Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
* Currently enrolled at an accredited college/university degree program pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related program
* Experience with Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint and Excel)
* Minimum GPA 3.0
* May be required to obtain a security clearance
* US Citizenship required
* Experience utilizing engineering / modeling tools such as MATLAB.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
* GPA 3.5 or higher
* Completed coursework in the area(s) of radio communications theory and signal processing
* Experience in working in an autonomous work environment on complex projects
