Overall Summary:

The Talent Acquisition Partner partners with the leadership team to develop and implement hiring strategies to build upon IWCO's talented employee base.

Primary Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement policies and best practices for talent acquisition.

  • Develop and implement hiring strategies tailored to meet specific business needs.

  • Routinely measure and communicate effectiveness of recruiting plans.

  • Build and maintain an effective recruiting network; including industry contacts, professional associations, trade groups, and employees.

  • Determine appropriate recruiting methods; manage communicated content and responses.

  • Manage recruiting partners and agencies; support effective pricing and contract implementation; track performance against goals and review billing.

  • Manage applicant and interview data in accordance with all laws, regulations and internal best practices.

  • Proactively expand talent community in high turnover positions and strategic business plans.

  • Screen applicants for position requirements and candidate interests; select well suited applicants for referral to managers.

  • Help managers and candidates make effective decisions by providing key guidance on roles and responsibilities, benefits, and compensation.

  • Coordinate interviews and relevant testing, including travel and lodging.

  • Participate in talent development initiatives, provide input and support on key competencies, job descriptions, and talent needs.

  • Recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to ensure continuous improvement.

  • Perform other (or other related) duties as applicable or assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities/Competencies:

  • Demonstrated recruiting success, including experience recruiting via print, online and referral programs.

  • Demonstrated success screening candidates and assessing fit for specific positions.

  • Ability to establish and maintain relationships internally and externally at all levels.

  • Excellent verbal communication skills; ability to build trust and influence

  • Excellent writing skills; ability to create and follow formatting and achieve mutual understanding.

  • Detail oriented and highly organized Microsoft Office proficiency, especially Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

  • Positive attitude, good judgment and excellent time management skills.

  • Strong sense of responsibility, accountability and ownership.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field.

  • 2-5 years of experience in talent acquisition, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

  • Experience developing and implementing talent acquisition strategies based on business plans preferred.

  • Experience developing and maintaining 'talent communities' preferred.

  • Basic understanding of employment law as it relates to recruitment.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work 8 hours consecutively.

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

  • Willingness to travel, including by air, and ability to operate rental car vehicles.

  • Ability to pass a pre-hire background check and drug screen
  • On-Site in Chanhassen, MN.
