About the Job

The Harel Lab is seeking a researcher to join our team! We are a lab focusing on ultra-high field MRI, particularly in the context of movement disorders, Parkinson's, and DBS.

This role will include the following responsibilities, but there will be opportunities for self-directed pursuit of areas of interest, as this is a collaborative and dynamic lab at a cutting edge research University. We are searching for an extremely motivated individual who has prior related experience while looking to grow their knowledge in MRI research.

Responsibilities:
- Perform image analysis on MR and CT data (30%)
- Manually identify and delineate anatomical nuclei
- Create reconstructions of anatomical and surgical data using tools such as 3dSlicer, AFNI, FSL, and other image-processing software
- Perform image registration
- Disseminate results to our research and clinical collaborators
- Manage data requests (20%)
- Track incoming data requests from other labs, including for clinical data
- Track data approval and share approved data
- Responsibly track clinical and research data, including Protected Health Information (15%)
- Contribute to and/or develop image processing scripts/tools or website applications, using python, MATLAB, and/or bash (15%)
- Other duties as assigned. (20%)

Qualifications

All required qualifications must be documented on application materials.

Required qualifications:
- BA/BS in related field (neuroscience, biology, physics, electrical engineering, computer science, mathematics, psychology, etc) and 1 (one) year of relevant experience OR equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience to equal five (5) years.
- Demonstrated ability to apply previous experiences to the position while simultaneously learning new skills on the job.
- Self-motivated and interested in learning new skills
- Familiarity with computer systems (linux a plus) and some coding experience (python and MATLAB preferred)
- High degree of organization
- Ability to prioritize tasks

Preferred qualifications:
- Proficiency in one or more coding languages
- Familiarity with neuroanatomy and/or medicine
