The Career - What it is:

As an Accounts Receivable Specialist for Apothecary Products, LLC (APL) based in Burnsville, you will be a valued team member in a growing business that is an essential supplier to many of the largest retailers in the world and a growing eCommerce channel. In this career, you will be counted on to timely and accurately review, analyze, reconcile, and resolve customer deductions and chargebacks. You will research and analyze customer deductions for product shortages, damages, pricing discrepancies, or other deductions taken by customers. You will also have an important role in ensuring time payment from our customers.

Our ideal candidate will be motivated by resolving a high volume of customer deductions accurately and thrive in a fast-paced, independent work environment. This position will be based at our manufacturing/distribution headquarters in Burnsville, Minnesota and will operate in a hybrid work setting following initial onboarding.

In this role the incumbent will:

    Manage and analyze customer short payments
  • Coordinate research to properly classify deductions
  • Work cross-functionally to reconcile and resolve customer deductions
  • Support the accounting and reconciliation of various customer trade programs
  • Post credit memos, claims, and deductions in accounting systems
  • Support accounting month end close responsibilities
  • Contact customers to follow up on overdue invoices to minimize delinquent accounts
  • Define, document, and improve deviations resolution processes for continuous improvement
  • Assist Accounting leadership with other projects as requested
  • Other duties beneficial to the success of APL
Qualifications + Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years in similar capacity
  • Positive and adaptable attitude
  • Demonstrated knowledge of core accounting principles, practices, and procedures associated with responsibilities
  • Demonstrated strength in multi-tasking with success in executing under specific timelines
  • Self-starter who thrives working independently
  • Motivated by successfully resolving a high volume of customer deductions accurately
  • Organized, analytical and problem solver
  • Proven ability to achieve business result through cross-functional collaboration and communications
  • High proficiency in MS Office tools, including Excel and ERP (Microsoft NAV), or ability to quickly learn
  • Verified experience operating in a fast-paced business
  • Ability to work with a diverse team

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Prior experience working wiht wholesalers/large retail customers
