Job Description

POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Provide Service - Engage, collaborate, and communicate effectively with a variety of stakeholders to deliver BASIS services in alignment with our strong business values that shape our culture. Solve SAP problems impacting our business with the tenacity to find and mitigate root causes
  • Control Costs - Control fixed costs, be creative to help us achieve more with existing SAP CoE resources through automation of repeatable tasks, process and technology improvements, and improve data governance practices while staying aligned to regulatory requirements
  • Optimize Assets - Find opportunities to simplify and optimize processes and methods to give better business values - This includes downtime optimization during the patching window, ensuring uptime by HA/DR solution
  • Operate Safely - Keep SAP systems safe by timely implementation of SAP Security Notes and Critical Patches. Participate in DR rehearsals, annual system and database audits working with internal/external auditors to ensure compliance of systems
  • Develop People - Must be an excellent team player with great collaboration skills. Maintain and progress SAP skill sets. Grasp mentor and coaching opportunities, and develop leadership skills aligned with the CPKC development program
  • Participate in rotational 24*7 On call support

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
  • 6+ years of experience in SAP Basis support
  • 4+ years of experience in Basis/HANA Administration with core strength in all aspects of system & and database administration
  • 2+ years of experience in designing and implementing High Availability/ Disaster Recovery Solutions for SAP Applications
  • 2+ years of experience in architecting and deploying SAP solutions on at least one hyper-scaler (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • Experience in Installation, Upgrades, and Maintenance of SAP Net weaver Suite of products like SAP ECC, BI, BO/BODS, PO, GRC, Portal, Solution Manager, and HANA
  • Competent in monitoring, tuning, and troubleshooting SAP Hana systems
  • Experience in creating documentation related to infrastructure, architectural diagrams, processes, and procedures and updated as required

Management Conductor Program:

Becoming a qualified conductor or locomotive engineer is the single best way for a management employee to learn the business at CPKC. You may be required to obtain a certification or to maintain your current certification/qualification as a conductor or locomotive engineer.
