SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Production Quality Control Intern will have responsibility to follow established metrology procedures to calibrate and verify accuracy of Hysitron's product line of nanomechanical testing devices. Perform a variety of electronic, mechanical and electromechanical tests on new systems, subassemblies and components to ensure quality according to specifications or to determine cause of failure. Compile and evaluate statistical data to determine and maintain quality and reliability. Use principles of science, engineering and mathematics to solve practical testing and quality control problems. Work with Production, Engineering, Customer Service and R&D to review testing procedures, evaluate test results, resolve problems and otherwise meet all assigned objectives. This position will have occasional responsibility to complete various aspects of instrument final assembly and to generally assist with other aspects of production and quality control.
