ADVENTURES PLUS - CHILD CARE ASSISTANTS - Adventures Plus Summer Program - multiple positions available
Adventures Plus is a child care program providing summer care for elementary and middle school age students and is located in various schools throughout the District.
DATES & SUMMER HOURS: June 7 - August 23 - Monday thru Friday, 2 to 8 hours per day (closed June 19; July 4 and 5)
SITES: to be determined
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Child Care Assistants supervise and interact with school-age children and assist in planning appropriate activities. Perform other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Must be 16 years of age at time of hire. Some experience working with children. Ability to maintain regular attendance, which includes completing an assigned day. Ability to perform position responsibilities including physical factors, work devices and materials handling, data functions, and people functions. Must be physically working in the building.
RATE OF PAY: $16.50/hour and up DOQ. $17.50/hour with High School Diploma or equivalent. This position is premium pay eligible. Summer employment does not affect eligibility for insurance, vacation, sick leave, or any other benefit. Assignments will be made based on students' needs.
