About the role

The Reliability Technician is responsible for initiating processes and using appropriate tools to identify wear and potential failures of equipment. The individual will have strong previous background in industrial maintenance, to include both electrical and mechanical skills. The individual must develop spreadsheets and presentations to communicate findings. The individual is responsible to follow-up with work order generation, parts identification, and resolution in collaboration with the Maintenance Manager, Reliability Engineer, Maintenance Supervisor, and Maintenance Planner to ensure all findings are action planned and repaired.

Your responsibilities
  • Follow and exemplify all safety and food safety rules, processes, policies and procedures.
  • Develop predictive maintenance routes in conjunction with the Maintenance Manager and the Reliability Engineer, using critical equipment and component identification processes to prioritize the routes.
  • Establish all routes in the work order system. Adjust frequency of the tasks based on the previously assigned criticality of the equipment.
  • Utilize appropriate PdMx tools to identify issues of pending failures or unusual wear. These predictive maintenance processes include but are not limited to Vibration measurement and analysis, Infrared Scans and analysis, and Ultrasonic Scans and Analysis.
  • Develop and own a comprehensive air leak find and repair program
  • Write work requests and communicate the need for the repairs to the maintenance supervisor and planner.
  • Provide feedback and follow-up on the repair of equipment.
  • Participate in the repair of equipment which was identified. Communicate the issue to the mechanic, assist in the repair, and verify the repair was effective.
  • Identify repeat issues and premature wear, and create spreadsheets to track recurring issues. Quarterly be able to present all issues identified and repaired, and % repeat issues.

  • Participate in annual site infrared scanning, performed by an outside contractor, and read report.
  • Participate in site electrical PM's, and report out hot spots and pending failures of electrical panels. Assist in coordinating the repairs of electrical IR audit findings.
  • Learn new job-related skills as required. This includes all trainings on new equipment.
  • Demonstrate intellectual curiosity and a "can-do" approach to problem solving.
The experience we're looking for
  • Have a two year Associate Degree in Industrial Maintenance, Electrical, or Mechanical Technology plus at least one (3) years of experience
  • Have a minimum of five (5) years of industrial maintenance to include electrical and mechanical experiences
  • Be a collaborative leader. strong team player, and solid interpersonal skills.
  • Be a self-starter, able to work effectively with minimal supervision, with good organizational and planning skills.
