Overview

Element-Eagan is hiring a Study Director to work in a fast-paced environment directing laboratory-based chemistry studies evaluating antimicrobial products. The ideal candidate has chemistry laboratory experience in HPLC, GC and bench titrations, as well as exemplary client service and project management skills.

Responsibilities
    Perform Study Director functions, as outlined in EPA and FDA Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) Regulations (40 CFR Part 160 & 21 CFR Part 58)
  • Serve as the single point of control in the execution of antimicrobial chemistry laboratory study protocols
  • Manage the design, conduct and interpretation of test assays to ensure technical integrity of studies
  • Perform study protocol review, raw data review, data analysis and report generation
  • Utilize strong project management skills to efficiently manage multiple antimicrobial studies
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure client's needs are met
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with clients, via email and phone, regarding study protocols, study results, final reports, and all other project-related information
  • Communicate with lab technicians about each study and remain available to answer questions while studies are being conducted
  • Report studies in a timely manner in accordance with expected performance metrics
Skills / Qualifications
  • Minimum BS/BA in chemistry or related field
  • Minimum 2-3 years applicable of experience in a laboratory environment. HPLC, GC, titrations and UV spectroscopy experience strongly preferred
  • Ability to organize and track multiple projects in a detail-oriented and self-directed manner. Strong organizational skills required
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Experience with EPA or FDA Good Laboratory Practice Regulations (40 CFR Part 160 or 21 CFR Part 58)
  • Ability to perform complex mathematical calculations and interpret results.
  • Knowledge of laboratory techniques, equipment, and terminology
