Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and technically proficient intern to join our Marvin Connected Home IoT development team. The intern will work on developing new features within the technology stack that includes Azure Cloud and IoT Services (AWS), .NET/C#, ReactJs, along with other technolgoies. This role offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in general web and platform development, cloud services, and IoT device and cloud technolgoies.

Additionally, this role will lead the efforts of building Marvin's digital development understanding and expertise within the IoT space. A technical champion internally on not only understanding but crafting the strategy on how we develop digital product solutions. This role will play a heavy role in crafting the and executing the quality processes as intended not only as a standalone system, but within other ecosystems.

Duration:

    Minimum of 10 weeks - June 10, 2024 - August 16, 2024
  • Opportunity for part-time work after internship while intern is still in school.

Schedule:

  • Full-time - 40 hours per week.

Hybrid Role:

  • Minimum of 2 days per week at Marvin offices in Eagan MN.
Highlights of your role
  • Primarily focued on the development of a web and cloud based services.
  • Participate in the entire software development life-cycle.
  • Work with team in an agile development methodology.
  • Development in ReactJS and .NET/C#.
  • Assist with DevOps on setup of Azure services to support work.
  • Testing of IoT device and associated backend services
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system issues.
You're a good fit if you have (or if you can)
  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong foundation in programming.
  • Basic understanding of IoT concepts, device integration, and cloud computing.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Also want to make sure you have
  • Prior experience with .NET/C# or ReactJS
  • Experience developing full-stack web application.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure Cloud Service related to APIs, storage, iot, and app functions.
  • Experience with database sql or nosql.
  • Prior experience with IoT devices and cloud services.
