Foth is currently seeking a team-focused, innovative, and results-oriented Environmental Scientist for our Minneapolis, MN location, who is looking for new learning experiences, opportunities for career growth, and a desire to contribute to our clients' success.
Primary Responsibilities
Permitting - prepare documents for permitting and renewal of air, solid waste, and other permits.
Reporting - draft clear and comprehensive reports detailing findings, insights, and recommendations. Prepare regulatory response to comment submittals and present analytical findings to both technical and non-technical audiences
Field Work - coordinate and execute environmental field work including air, water and soil sampling, odor monitoring, waste characterizations, and drilling oversite. Troubleshoot site and field equipment/systems under the direction of a lead scientist or engineer.
Data Collection and Management - compile and organize environmental data from various sources including field studies, sensors and clients. Maintain and manage environmental databases, ensuring data is accessible and well-organized for team use.
Data Analysis - interpret data to identify trends, anomalies and patterns relevant to environmental projects. Evaluate data relative to site-specific limits and provide recommendations.
Waste Stream Planning - support the research and drafting of feasibility studies, waste diversion options and other sustainability efforts.
Work Directly with Clients and Regulatory Staff - interpret State and Federal regulations as well as client requirements for successful completion of tasks
Ability to travel to project and team locations on an as-needed basis (up to 25%).
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science, Geology, or related field.
Experience with field sampling methods and related data management and reporting.
Knowledge of environmental data sources, metrics and standards.
